Palácio Sottomayor, a unique building with over a century of history and progress, underwent a remarkable interior design intervention by Atelier Nini Andrade Silva and is now home to PricewaterhouseCoopers, or PwC!
The architectural program of the building, in a "composite style” refering to a French inspiration, is then countered by a contemporary interior design project with exclusive design elements standing out, such as the big chandeliers in the reception and the main meeting room, and the large imposing red sofa that populates the central hall, illuminated by a huge skylight - this is the "Dune Sofa," an exclusive design piece by Nini Andrade Silva which also integrates the author's furniture collection "Garouta do Calhau”.
In a perfect balance between volumetry and design, importance is also given to the colours, symbols and forms, alluding to the strength of PwC's institutional identity. The space was completely revamped through the creation of environments with their own identity, attitude, dynamism, and contemporaneity, all fused with the history of a building with very unique aesthetic and architectural features.
