The "butterfly effect" is the term that summarizes the entire creative concept of the interior design project for the Bessa Hotel Baixa.
Assuming the importance of the architectural program and taking advantage of its materiality, Atelier Nini Andrade Silva aimed to bring a new and exciting breath of fresh air by using the visual ergonomics of soft tones and noble materials, combined with the mastery of proportion. The unique design features transport us to the fantastic world of butterflies, including the metallic mesh that runs across the ceiling of the entrance lobby, intentionally reminiscent of the texture of butterfly cocoons.
The importance given to the visual and spatial communication of the interior of the Hotel with the exterior is noteworthy. The outdoor area welcomes the guests with its beautiful green areas, emphasized as a natural habitat of butterflies with pergolas designed in the shape of a cocoon, making the environment very cosy, comfortable and relaxing.
