Savoy Palace

Funchal

The Savoy Hotel Funchal, an icon of classic Madeira hospitality that was now reborn as the Savoy Palace Hotel, was inspired by the elegance of spaces and comfort sublimated by details, with an expressiveness felt in the quality of materials and richness of the finishes, the soft textures and refined decorative elements.

With a timeless classic character, the interior design project is influenced by a recent period in world history known as the Belle Époque, which is reborn in total harmony with the cultural resources of the island, in a captivating journey between the existing natural and intangible heritage.

Deeply rooted in the collective memory of the island of Madeira, the project gives great prominence to the element of nature. From views to the outdoor gardens of autochthonous and semi-tropical species, to emerging waterfalls that end in Levadas, and even large photographic elements alluding to the old man-made tunnels that now integrate Madeira's landscape, every turn and corner of the Hotel leads to unique moments of excitement, relaxation and awe, with an evident tribute to the island’s heritage.
