Taking into account the high historical and heritage value of the Hotel's building, Atelier Nini Andrade Silva developed the Interior Design project as to carefully valorise its cultural heritage, as well as a tribute to Portugal's presence in the East. We used faience inspired by the Portuguese East India Company, highlighting one of Portugal's most prosperous periods - the Portuguese Discoveries era. The concept development also focused on the existing beautiful tile panels in the Palacete, whose main themes are Portuguese maritime expansion, religious iconography and various other decorative elements (geometric, vegetal, etc.).
